ABOUT DR. JESSICA HALPERN
In my experience, people of all ages come for treatment seeking guidance and support. It is my duty and pleasure to ensure that everyone who enters my office feels welcomed, listened to, and validated in their feelings.
While working with you, I will assess whether or not medication is necessary to aid in your progress and if it is, I will work with you to find the one that is right for you and your symptoms. My goal is to become an ally for each of my clients as they work towards achieving more fulfilled lives.
Taking an empathic approach allows me to connect with my clients and gain a deeper understanding of their current struggles. I believe the first step in inducing change is in validating my clients’ feelings and empowering them to see past their own judgments about themselves.
I enjoy working with children and adolescents who are just starting to form their identities. With young clients, I strive to make a long-lasting impact, as they are just beginning to tackle life's journey. It is also important to me to be a helpful resource for parents, since I know that parenting can be a challenge. I want to work with you to navigate through any struggles your children may be experiencing.
I am also passionate about women’s mental health. As a woman, I understand the pressures that we face on a day-to-day basis. I feel fulfilled working with soon-to-be first time mothers, women struggling with infertility, and those finding it difficult to balance their work and personal lives.
You will find me to be interactive and engaged with you in every session; I am not just someone who will listen to you, but I will also provide you with my thoughts, advice, and share with you in an occasional laugh in life’s lighthearted moments. By establishing a non-judgmental, trusting relationship, I am able to foster growth in my clients.
